Rotary Club Football Banquet (1/9/2020)
The Rockwood Rotary Club Football Banquet is this
Thursday, Jan. 9, 2020 at 6:00 pm at First Baptist
Church in Rockwood. Tickets can be purchased at the
door for $10. We will have our annual meal and a
guest speaker. Please come and support the Rockwood
Tigers Football team!
Rockwood and Roane
County lost one of their biggest supporters. Maurice
Grief passed away last night.

Defeats Rockwood 20-7 in the 1st round of the TSSAA
Playoffs

The Rockwood Tigers playoff run ended Friday night
in Greeneville, as they lost to Region 1AA runner-up
South Greene 20-7 to finish the season at 5-6
overall and 2-2 in Region 2AA regular season play..

Rockwood ends the season strong with a 35-7 win over
Cumberland Gap. The Tigers improve to 5-5 on the
year and will be on the road next week to face South
Greene in the first round of the playoffs..

Tigers Get big Region Win over Wartburg
35-0 (10/18/19)
Rockwood continues its push towards the playoffs by
rolling over Wartburg by a score of 35-0. The Tigers
improve to 4-5 on the year and will host Cumberland
Gap in 2 weeks for homecoming and senior night.

Rockwood drops a tough fought game to Oneida by a
score of 32-27.
Rockwood falls to 2-5 on the season.

Harriman in their 100th Meeting

Rockwood dominates Harriman to win their historic
100th meeting by a score of 29-0. Rockwood improves
to 2-4 on the season and will travel to Oneida next

Harriman Alumni
Defeats Rockwood Alumni (Sept. 28)
The Harriman Alumni defeated The Rockwood Alumni by
a score of 14-6. Former UT Player Jermaine Copeland
lead the way for the Blue Devils in the win.
Meigs County Rolls Over Rockwood 42-7 (9/20/19)
Meigs County rolled over the Tigers by a score of
42-7.
Rockwood falls to 1-4 on the season.

coach the Tigers due to being ejected vs Meigs

Kingston
Defeats Rockwood 28-14 (9/13/19)
Kingston Defeated Rockwood in a tough fought battle
by a score of 28-14.
Rockwood falls to 1-3 on the season.

Scottie Ross (9/6/19)
Please be in prayer for Stephanie Ross and the Ross
Family as former Tiger Scottie Ross passed away
Thursday night at his home after a long illness.
Scottie was a 1985 graduate of Rockwood High School.

Sweetwater 13-12 (8/30/19)
The Tigers made several key mistakes that cost them
a win against the Sweetwater Wildcats. A dropped
Touchdown and an interception led to the 13-12
Wildcat win.

Rockwood Tops
Midway in Season Opener 19-6 (8/23/19)
For the last two years, the season opening game
between the Rockwood Tigers and Midway Green Wave
have been close. Friday’s opener at Rockwood’s
Civitan Field wasn’t any different, although the
Tigers won 19-6, it was closer than the score
showed.

J. Polk Cooley (6/19/19)
The Rockwood Tiger family is saddened
to announce the passing of our oldest living
football alumni, J. Polk Cooley. Polk was a long
time lawyer in Rockwood and a graduate of 1943.
